How to Post a Betting Pick on TipStrong — Step-by-Step Guide

TipStrong lets any registered member post their own football betting picks publicly — singles, accumulators, combos, and bet builders. Every result is tracked forever, wins and losses. This guide walks you through exactly how to do it.

Step 1 — Go to Public Bets

Head to the Public Bets page from the left sidebar or the navigation menu. This is the community feed where all member picks are posted.

If you are not logged in you will see a Login to Post button in the top right corner of the picks section. You need a free TipStrong account to post picks.

Don't have an account yet? Hit Register — it takes 30 seconds. If you already have an account just click Login to Post and sign in.

Step 2 — Open the Post a Pick Modal

Once you are logged in the button changes to + Post a Pick. Click it to open the posting form.

You get 2 picks per day. The limit resets at midnight. The form tells you how many picks you have left at the top.

Step 3 — Posting a Single Pick

Make sure the Single tab is selected at the top of the form.

Fill in the following fields:

Match — Start typing a team name and suggestions will appear from today's and tomorrow's fixtures. Select your match from the dropdown. If your match is not listed you can type it manually.

Tip — What you are backing. For example: Both Teams to Score, Arsenal to Win, Over 2.5 Goals.

Odds — The decimal odds you are getting. Type with a dot or comma (e.g. 2.10 or 2,10).

Units — How much you are staking. 1 unit = $10 by default, but you scale it to your own bankroll. Posting 2u means you are staking $20 at your personal unit value.

Confidence — Low, Medium, or High. This shows as coloured dots on your pick card so others can see how strongly you back it.

Match Time — Optional but recommended. Pick the date from the date picker, then type the kick-off time in 24h format (e.g. 20:45). This powers the ● LIVE badge that appears automatically when the match kicks off.

Once everything is filled in hit + Post Pick and your single goes live instantly.

Step 4 — Posting a Multi Pick

Switch to the Multi tab to build a bet with more than one pick. This covers combos, accumulators, and bet builders.

How legs work

Each Leg represents one match. You fill in:

  • The match name (same search as single)
  • Your tip for that match
  • The odds for that tip

The Combined @ odds box at the bottom updates automatically as you fill in each leg — it multiplies all the individual odds together so you always see the total accumulator odds in real time.

Adding more matches

Click + Add Leg to add another match to your accumulator. Keep adding until you have all the matches you want. The bet type label updates automatically:

  • Bet Builder — all your picks are from the same match
  • Combo — 2 to 3 different matches combined
  • Acca — 4 or more different matches combined

What is a Same Game Multi (SGM)?

Inside any leg you can click + Add Same Game Multi (SGM). This lets you add multiple different picks from the exact same match all inside one leg.

For example on Arsenal vs Chelsea you could combine:

  • Arsenal to Win
  • Over 2.5 Goals
  • Both Teams to Score

All three picks are from the same game. The odds multiply together within that leg, and that combined leg odds then multiplies with your other legs as normal. This is exactly how bet builders work at bookmakers.

Fill in Units and Confidence at the bottom, then hit + Post Pick.

Step 5 — Your Pick Goes Live

After posting, your pick appears instantly in the Active Public Picks feed.

The card shows your match or bet type, your tip, the odds, units staked, confidence dots, and your username. Anyone can click your username to see your full record and follow you.

Step 6 — Results Get Settled

Once the match finishes an admin settles the result. Your pick moves from Active to Previous Results with either a green ✓ W or red ✗ L, and the profit or loss shown in units.

Every result is permanent. Your stats on the Leaderboard — win rate, total profit, and current streak — update automatically after each settlement.

Tips for Posting Good Picks

  • Always set the match time — it helps others know when the game is and triggers the live badge automatically
  • Be honest with confidence — Low / Medium / High should reflect how strongly you actually feel
  • Post before kick-off or when live — picks posted after a match has started will be removed, live games will be checked for cheating.
  • Use units honestly — 1u is the standard, only go higher if you genuinely back it more

How many picks can I post per day?

2 picks per day. The limit resets at midnight.

Can I delete a pick after posting?

Yes, you can delete your own picks as long as they have not been settled yet.

What happens if I hit the daily limit?

The form will tell you the limit has been reached and you cannot post again until midnight.

Does posting picks cost anything?

No. TipStrong is completely free — no subscriptions, no credits, no paywalls.

Can I post picks for sports other than football?

Currently the match suggestions only cover football, but you can type any match name manually and any sport is supported.
